The split of Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris took everyone by surprise as it was totally unexpected. The reason for their split was also not know, however, the reason behind their separation seems to be revealed.
Rihanna and Harris hit track 'This is What You Came for' is the reason behind the spilt of Harris and Swift. According to People and as confirmed by Swift's representative, the song was written by the Grammy-winning pop star, under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg. The report suggests that she had even shared a demo version with her then beau, Harris. The duo decided to keep their collaboration under wraps.
But later in an interview, Harris said that collaboration between the duo is not something that is going to happen in the near future. And, things took an ugly turn. At the song's promotion as well, Harris was heard firmly denying about any collaboration with Swift. When Swift heard about this, she was hurt and came out in the open.
Currently, Swift is dating actor Tom Hiddleston. It was in May that the duo met at the Met Ball. And, after Swift's split with Harris in early June, their friendship turned into a romantic affair. Swift and Hiddleston have been traveling around the globe for quite some time now.
On the other hand, Rihanna, is busy with her world tour and has not said anything about the controversy. A report published by Hollywood Life states that, Rihanna is waiting for the storm to pass over. And neither has she taken Harris' side nor has she supported Swift in this matter.
Moreover, Rihanna is rarely seen getting involved in feuds. And now, all that she is hoping for is that Harris and Swift sort their differences and become friends again.
But, if the rants of Harris on the social media platform, Twitter, are considered, it seems pretty unlikely that the former couple will get over this anytime soon. Harris accuses Swift of trying to defame him.
