According to reports, Google Nexus 2016 smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon 821 processor. Also, Google Nexus 9 and other Nexus devices will receive Android Nougat pretty soon.

The search giant Google has not revealed any information about the two devices. However, speculations are making the rounds that the Nexus 2016 smartphones will be released pretty soon. Several reports also suggest that the tech company will launch Android Nougat in August.

Rumors are also doing the rounds that the SD 821 processor will come out for the Galaxy Note 7, the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi Note 2. The Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has said that their ZenFone 3 Deluxe will carry the latest Qualcomm processor.

It is believed that the SnapDragon 821 processor will deliver better and faster performance. The two new Nexus handsets are expected to offer users a better experience than any other Nexus device till date. According to reports, these smartphones will feature better hardware and run Android N out of the box.

Both Sailfish and Marlin are rumored to feature the same internal configuration. Also, they will have a 3.5mm port for standard headphones.

Meanwhile, according to Rogers, Google Nexus 9 tablet will get the Android 7.0 Nougat pretty soon. There are speculations that the Android N update will be available in a month or two.

Furthermore, the Nexus 5, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6 and Nexus 6P will likely be updated to Android Nougat at about the same time.

It is confirmed that HTC will bring Android 7.0 Nougat to the HTC One A9, HTC One M9 and HTC 10.

Android N will update the present Doze app, a feature that significantly improves battery life. Some of the other features that Android 7.0 Nougat will carry include improved performance in handling apps, side-by-side app support and a revamped notification panel.

In addition, Android 7.0 Nougat will carry support for VR applications by integrating a dedicated virtual reality mode to its system.

Google Nexus 9 tablet was released in October 2014. The device features a 8.9-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, according to a Digital Trends report. Other features include 1.6-megapixel front shooter, 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.
