The two dramas are set to air at the same time during the Wednesday-Thursday drama timeslots of the said two Korean networks. In a press conference for MBC's "W" held Monday, July 18, Lee Jong Suk commented that he and his close friend Kim Woo Bin have been supportive of the other, Soompi reported. Despite the expected rating war, the "I Can Hear Your Voice" actor mentioned that they would rather cheer each other on instead of competing with one another.

Lee Jong Suk also revealed that Kim Woo Bin has invited him to appear in "Uncontrollably Fond" in a cameo role. However, the actor had to decline the offer given his MBC TV drama commitments and the two drama's same airing time in Korea. He also shared that he and Kim Woo Bin have a "symbiotic relationship" with each other.

Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk's upcoming "W" drama will feature a unique plot line where the female character meets the male lead who exists in a webtoon world. The drama's director Jung Dae-yoon stated during the drama's press conference that the MBC series will include elements of romance, comedy, horror and suspense, Yonhap News reported.

The drama's storyline will tackle two separate dimensions that include the real world, as well as the virtual world of a webtoon. Lee Jong Suk portrays the male lead named Kang Chul who is a character in the webtoon and Han Hyo Joo's character named Oh Yeon Joo, a doctor who resides in the real world. The two characters meet when On Yeon Joo found herself inside the webtoon drawn by her father and meets Kang Chul.

"W" will premiere on July 20 and will air every Wednesday and Thursday at the same timeslot as KBS2's "Uncontrollably Fond."
