The highly anticipated film "Star Trek Beyond" will feature the return of beloved characters, as well as a slew of new faces including a cameo appearance from Amazon's founder Jeff Bezos. Meanwhile, writer and cast member Simon Pegg has recently teased avid fans to avoid the film's latest trailer and other promo clips ahead of the movie's upcoming release.

Many Hollywood stars and musicians have already participated in the upcoming film "Star Trek Beyond" such as "Bond" star Daniel Craig. However, their appearances remained uncredited in the movie. Although fans will soon discover an unexpected cameo appearance of Amazon's head Bezos in the movie's credits. The revelation was made by showrunners J.J. Abrams and Justin Lin during a press run held Friday, July 15, Associated Press reported.

Director Lin described the businessman as awesome and recounted the day that Bezos came to the filming location to shoot his scene. He stated that the Amazon founder's arrival was similar to a president's entourage given the security personnel that came with the businessman. Lin shared that Bezos had a long wait before he was called on set given the three different scenes that they were filming on that day.

Despite the long wait, the director stated that the business mogul waited patiently for his turn and was able to deliver what the scene required. The movie's producer Abrams even teased that the credits scene that featured Bezos may have people laughing. "I saw it, I thought it was funny," he stated.

Cast member Chris Pine, who portrays the lead character Captain James Kirk, was also impressed with Bezos and his arrival on the movie's set.  He shared that the businessman arrived with three limousines and was accompanied by around nine bodyguards. However, the actor admitted that he had no idea who Bezos was but realized that the Amazon head was "obviously very important."

In other news, Pine's co-star Pegg took to Twitter on Monday, July 18, to urge avid fans to refrain from watching the film's latest trailer and other promotional clips to avoid learning about the film's plot, CNET reported. The final movie trailer was unveiled on Monday that revealed more of what fans can expect from the film.

"Star Trek Beyond" will hit movie theaters on July 22.
