Pokemon GO, the GPS-based augmented reality mobile game, was an instant hit with the iOS and Android users. Now, players are looking forward to an update that is expected to improve the gameplay and add some new features. The highly anticipated update is expected to bring one major addition to the game-trading Pokemon. Niantic CEO John Hanke recently confirmed the news to Business Insider. In an interview with the aforementioned publication, Hanke talked about this feature that will "encourage players to interact with each other in both the virtual and real worlds."
Players of Pokemon games will remember that trading features allow them to trade their Pokemon with friends and strangers. According to Hanke, it is the key element of the game.
Pokemon GO allows players to capture, train and battle the virtual beasts appearing in real world. Various features such as Pokestops and Pokemon Gyms are features that provide players a richer experience.
According to the CEO, the next Pokemon GO update will improve the Pokestops and Gyms. At present, these places exist in their "very most basic versions" but the new update will allow players to "customize their functions in other ways."
More new features will include global leadership scoreboard. Meanwhile, fans can expect better gameplay with improvement in AR technology.
In addition, speculations suggest that the Pokemon GO update will also fix the server issues. Reports about server issues have surfaced. The server becomes inaccessible and players are unable to get started with the game. With the new update, the problem is expected to be resolved.
Also, fans are looking forward to the appearance of Legendary Pokemon. However, it is unclear whether these monsters will be released in the next Pokemon Go update or in a special theme event.
According to Nintendo News, legendary Pokemon such as Mew, Mewtwo, Ditto, Articuno and Zapdos are expected to appear in future. A Reddit user NeoProfessorWillow has reportedly found references related to these Pokémon that are yet to make their debut on Pokemon GO.
While speculations are running rampant, it is uncertain when the next Pokemon GO update will be released. Niantic is yet to make the official announcement and reveal the release date.
