Apple Pay has now been launched in France and Hong Kong. It is one of the most compatible payment options available for customers who want to pay online for something.

According to the French version of the Apple' website, payments service section displays Apple Pay as a compatible payment option. If a person has a MasterCard, Visa credit card or debit card issued by Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Epargne and also Carrefour Banque and Ticket Restaurant, the customer is found eligible to make payments via the new Apply payment mode. The two names constitute the second largest banking group in France.

CNet reported that as far as credit card support is concerned, Boon and Orange constitutes two other card issuers across France, but they are still listed under "coming soon' category.

In Hong Kong, Apple Pay has been launched on Tuesday. The payment option in the city has been launched following the backing from Mastercard, Visa as well as American Express. The banks that have come in favor of the new initiative included Standard Chartered, Bank of China (Hong Kong), HSBC, DBS, and Hang Seng Bank. The other supporters include The Bank of East Asia and Tap&Go that are yet under the "coming soon" list.

The listed retailers who will be accepting payments via Apple Pay mode include Fusion, Pizza Hut, 7-Eleven, Fortress, McDonald's, Starbucks, and others. The in-app retailers that could be conveniently paid by the mode are Deliveroo, Food Panda, and Cathay Pacific.

Apple Pay is available on iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone OS, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. A user can make both in-app as well as in-store payments using the app. According to NFC World, Hong Kong people are allowed to make in-store payments via Apple Watch also while for in-app payments they use iPad Pro, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4 and iPad Air 2.

After its successful operation in the United States, Apple Pay is expanding its reach to other nations as well. In comparison to rivals Google's Android Pay and Samsung Pay, the Apple payment mode is yet to grab user attention.
