New "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" details will feature three new playable characters in the roster and Bandai Namco to focus on the online content for the sequel.
Three "Dragon Ball" characters are added to the roster of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as several scan images from a Japanese Magazine revealed Android 16, Imperfect Cell and Time Breaker Bardock. Imperfect Cell is the basic form of Cell, while Android 16 is a secret android created by Dr. Gero/Android 20 during the "Android" and "Cell" saga.
Time Breaker Bardock on the other hand, is a corrupt version of Bardock being controlled by Towa and Mira and he is featured in "Dragon Ball Heroes".
There are also other "Dragon Ball" characters present in the scan magazine images such as Android 17, Janemba, Turles, Saibaman, Jaco, Lord Slug, Towa and Super Saiyan Gogeta, SegmentNext reported.
In other news, Bandai Namco looks to improve the online content of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as game producer Masayuki Hirano told Gamereactor that this time they will focus online related features so that gamers around the world can interact and play with one another, whether doing quest and fighting in tournaments.
Previous reports revealed that Bandai Namco will likely add a few episodes from "Dragon Ball Super" anime series in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as both FutureTrunks and Black Goku will be pre-oreder DLCs in the sequel.
It is theorized that the current story arc "Dragon Ball Super" will set up the events in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" due to its time travel theme. Future Trunks will likely be reprimanded for his actions in changing history as he becomes a Time Patroller and will likely headed down the same path as his video game counterpart. Beerus and Whiz told Trunks that his actions in messing the timeline is very much forbidden and will do his job as a Time Patroller as penance for his meddling.
Bandai Namco stated that more customization options are available for each of the five races in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" and side quests involving different places in the "Dragon Ball" universe such as Frieza's ship, Planet Namek etc.
In addition the Saiyan, Frieza and Majin races will have new transformations such as Super Saiyan 3, Golden form and Kid Buu form.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will launch on Oct. 25 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
