"Game of Thrones" actress Maisie Williams says her mother is her ultimate role model, and it was during a FaceTime with her when she found out about her Emmy nomination.

"I found out about my Emmy nomination in the best way!" Williams said in an interview with People Magazine. She recalled about receiving a notification from Twitter while she was doing FaceTime with her mom, and the notification came from Game of Thrones.

The 19-year-old actress did not immediately see what the tweet was about because she was on FaceTime. She recalled about not wanting to say anything, because her mom was talking to her when she received it. She tried to speed up their conversation so that she could already check the tweet from Game of Thrones.

Funnily enough, her mom was logged onto her Twitter as well, because she wanted to keep up with what was happening with her daughter. Her mother received the same notification, in which after they FaceTimed, they both read the news together after.

The young actress was silenced for about 30 seconds when they read the news that she had been nominated for the Emmy Awards. Her mom, as they called each other again, started screaming by the time she read the news.

Williams got her mother a bottle of gin as a gift and already said that she was going to be taking her as her date for the occasion. The gin bottle signifies her gratitude for her mom for her success.

Williams and her mother are quite close to each other, because her mother has done everything for the actress. A survivor of cancer and other struggles in life, her mom was a strong role model for her who gave everything she needed in order to succeed, such as dropping her out of school for her to pursue her acting career.

Aside from Williams, a lot of the "Game of Thrones" stars were also nominated for the Emmy. They include Lena Headley, Kit Harington, Peter Dinklage, and Emilia Clarke, according to IGN.  The other cast members took their reactions to their Twitter accounts, with Williams being the most overwhelmed upon receiving the news.
