Scarlett Johansson is set to play the lead part for the new psychological thriller based on the book of the same title, "The Psychopath Test". Jay Roach of the famed "Austin Powers" movies will be tasked to direct the project.

A big screen adaptation of Jon Ronson's book, the story tells about "how the medical community tries to diagnose and classify an elusive group of remorseless and deadly psychopaths", according to IGN.

Ronson's psychological thriller highlights on the "the madness industry". The story also focuses on the "manipulative, deceitful, charming, seductive, and delusional" mind of a psychopath', the report added.

Johansson is a Hollywood's A-list character actress who recently graced the big screen playing the title role "Lucy", a French science fiction action film. She is set to reprise her role as Black Widow for the next "Avenger's" franchise, "Avengers: Age of Ultron".

Kristin Gore will be tasked to write the film adaptation. Gore penned the script for "Accidental Love". She also worked as a writer for the animated show "Futurama" and NBC's long-running sketch comedy variety series "Saturday Night Live". She is the daughter of former US Vice President Al Gore.

The film will be produced by the academy award winning Brian Grazer for Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment. Grazer is widely recognized for producing movies like "Splash"  in 1984, "Apollo 13" in 1995, "A Beautiful Mind" in 2001 and "Frost/Nixon" in 2008.

Grazer will produce the film alongside Finola Dwyer, Amanda Posey with Erica Huggins and Jennifer Perini as executive producers, Coming Soon reported.
