In season 2, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) decided to alter the timeline by making sure that his mom Nora wouldn't get killed. However, his decision to do so will have dire consequences.

Twitter user @AquamanShrine recently posted a photo of the DC superhero and wrote, "Hot Rumor: Viewers will get a glimpse of this guy in @CW_TheFlash Season 3: FLASHPOINT. Stay tuned! #Aquaman #SDCC."

The tweet also suggested that the announcement for Aquaman's inclusion in "The Flash" season 3 will be done at this month's San Diego Comic Con.

Meanwhile, it's also possible that Aquaman, if the character will indeed be featured in "The Flash" season 3, will join the cast in the premiere episode.

It was recently revealed that season 3, episode 1 will be fittingly called "Flashpoint."

In the same story that was written for the comic books, "Flashpoint" was the installment that saw Aquaman and Wonder Woman tearing the world apart because of their war.

In other news, the filming for "The Flash" season 3 is still ongoing in Vancouver.

It has already been confirmed that the series will have at least one crossover episode with "Arrow" season 5, "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 and "Supergirl" season 2.

"The Flash" season 3 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
