Kimberly Anne Scott Mathers, Eminem's ex-wife faced a trial on July 20, Wednesday, for her drunk driving. Now, going with the name Kim Scott, she confessed she wanted to commit suicide after taking pills and drinking alcohol. Scott reportedly told a first responder that she drank Malibu rum.

Scott crashed her black Escalade at 23 Mile and Card roads, smashed into a ditch, hit a pole and landed upside down. She was set to go on trial in 41A District Court in Shelby Township. However, the hearing was adjourned with jury selection set for Oct. 18, WXYZ Detroit.

"I did this on purpose, and I'm so sorry. I never lied to (first responders)," Scott said on "Mojo in the Morning," a radio show on Detroit's Channel 995 in May. "I told them everything that I did. I didn't expect to make it out alive."

A few weeks earlier, Scott was spotted looking healthy at her Detroit home wearing a black and white bikini. She flaunted her 41-year-old figure and tattoos while taking a delivery of some huge fitness equipment, Mail Online reported.

Scott appeared to have been enjoying a swim to escape the summer heat in Michigan. She took a break to step out into her front yard and chat with a handyman.

The Detroit rapper's ex-wife looked healthy after a difficult year. That includes her single-car crash on an empty road adjacent to her home in Michigan when she attempted to put an end to her life.

Scott told "Mojo in the Morning," that she had been clean for 10 years. However, from her suicide attempt in October, she did not expect to make it out alive. The former Mrs. Marshall Mathers was emotional when she said on the show that money cannot make them happy.

"Yeah, I can pay bills. Yeah, I can get my kids whatever they ask for and it's great to see them happy," Scott said on the show. "But you lose friends, you lose family, you have no one you can trust you can speak to."

Scott and Eminem married in 1999 and divorced two years later. They remarried in January 2006 but had broken up again in April.
