Rose McIver is set to reprise her role as Olivia "Liv" Moore in "iZombie" Season 3, which will premiere on The CW in 2017. On July 22, Friday, the actress was in San Diego, California, to attend the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con.
Teasing "iZombie" Season 3, McIver was joined by her co-stars David Anders, Rahul Kohli, Malcolm Goodwin and Aly Michalka along with executive producers Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright. Apparently, McIver researched her role in "iZombie."
"I'm going to have to clear my browser history repeatedly," Indie Wire quoted McIver as saying. She revealed that Liv is going to eat a dominatrix's brain and her safe word was "ficus" in "iZombie" Season 3.
While McIver would love Liv and Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley) to work out, she said she felt that there was "bigger fish to fry." The actress assured the fans that Liv's next romantic interest will not be killed off whether it is Major or someone else.
During the event, Michalka noted that the undead Blaine DeBeers (Anders) was also vying for the affections of her character Peyton Charles and Ravi Chakrabarti (Kohli) realized this only recently. The actress revealed that the love triangle exist will continue to exist in "iZombie" Season 3.
After taking the second faulty cure, Blaine will try to put some of his memories together in "iZombie" Season 3, according to Thomas. Ravi's success in finding the cure would signal the end of the show, the actor added.
The next season will also featuring returning guest star Robert Knepper, who plays Angus, the father of Blaine. His character will be featured immediately in "iZombie" Season 3 episode 1, in which he will be frozen in the Shady Plots basement.
Knepper is not the only returning guest star. Daran Norris and Ken Marina are also reprising their roles as Johnny Frost and Brandt Stone, respectively.
Before attending the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con, the cast of "iZombie" was at the Warner Bros. booth. They had a meet and greet and autograph signing with their fans, Just Jared Jr. reported.
