This third generation Moto E will prove that cheaper smartphones can have much to offer.

Lenovo recently unveiled the upgraded version of Moto E, otherwise known as Moto E3, according to TechRadar. Theoretically, it appears that it will follow what Moto E line is known for: low prices for fair smartphone specs. However, consumers cannot help but wonder what is new with this product.

To begin with, the Moto E3 will be offered in base colors of black or white or plain back, with the signature Motorola mark. When it comes to design, it does not deviate much from the first generation Moto E except for its camera.

However, compared to its predecessor, the Moto E3 is longer and wider at 143.8 x 71.6 x 8.55 mm. And because it is thinner it is lighter at 140.6 g. When it comes to display, it has a 5-inch 720 x 1280 display that carries out 294 pixels an inch.

Moreover, it has a 8MP main camera that can record up to 720p videos. It also comes with an LED flash at the back. The front has no flash but it has a 5MP camera that is equipped with a "Beautification" mode for perfect selfies.

As for its battery, this phone is said to last the whole day with regular use and that sounds fair enough. Meanwhile inside the Moto E3 is a 1.0GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6735p processor with 1 GB of RAM. It is only slightly higher than the internal specs of last year's model.

It runs on Android Marshmallow. 8 GB internal memory can be expanded up to 32 GB through its MicroSD card slot.

The great thing about this phone is that now, its screen is smudge-proof and splash-proof because of its nano-coating that repels water. However, this phone is not protected from underwater dive so it is not completely water-proof.

It is expected to become available in the UK market in September for the price of about £99, according to Ubergizmo There is no word yet as to when it will be released in the US or how much it will exactly be in US$ but based on conversion it could be more or less $130.

To sum it up, for smartphone with a rock bottom price tag, the Moto E3 sounds like a good phone for users who do not care much about blown up features.
