Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is known for his anti-immigration stand and has promised to build a fence in the U.S.-Mexico border if he wins in the November 2016 presidential election.

However, Independent reported that his daughter, Ivanka, who made waves at the Republican National Convention (RNC) with her speech, presence and fashion style, appears not to practice what her father is preaching. That’s because the bulk of clothing produced by Ivanka’s fashion brand are actually made-in-China and -Vietnam.

These two Asian countries are notorious for their human rights abuses and poor labor conditions, with most of their factories sweatshops and paying wages ways below living standards. However, to hide that fact, most of the clothes are labelled just “imported.”

The British daily inspected over 25 different items in Ivanka’s flagship store in New York City and found not one was manufactured in the U.S., a sales assistant confirmed.

Given Ivanka’s popularity – unlike her father who is more notorious and seen as a divisive figure – the billionaire’s daughter has a similar effect as Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William, whose fashion influence is so strong that whatever clothes she wears on public occasions, is sold out after the event.

Ivanka’s $138 Sleeveless Studded Sheath Dress that she wore at the RNC was sold out at Nordstrom.

Her father, Donald Trump, had lamented so many times American jobs going to third world nations such as China and Mexico. If Trump’s campaign has been quiet about Ivanka’s fashion brand manufacturing the clothes in China and Vietnam, it’s because Donald’s ties and suits are also sewn in China and Bangladesh, the daily said.

Meanwhile, Cosmopolitan reported that Aquazzura, an Italian footwear company, filed a lawsuit against Ivanka for allegedly stealing their design. The fashion brand charged her with repeated infringement and deceptive trade practices for copying the best-selling sandals of Aquazzura. The Italian store cited its Wild Thing sandal, priced at $785, which Ivanka sells as Hettie for $145.
