During its first ever mobile developer conference, Yahoo revealed its newest offering to ease mobile app development.

The new product name, Yahoo Mobile Development Suite, combines Yahoo App Publishing and App Marketing Integrated with the newly acquired Flurry Analytics and App Marketing.

Yahoo said this is its take on an "ads in dev's clothing" strategy to convince mobile app makers to buy and host its ads, according to Tech Crunch.

Flurry Analytics, which was acquired on 2014, now has more than 200,000 app developers that have created more than 630,000 apps used in over 1.6 billion devices all over the world. Additionally, Yahoo has 575 million monthly mobile users and hit its revenue target of $1.2 billion for 2014.

With its newest set of useful tools, Yahoo can now provide app developers with a new platform to build and earn money thought their own apps.

During the conference which was held on Thursday at San Francisco, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer said, "Today is about building innovative, game-changing applications."

"Yahoo mobile went from being a hobby with just 50 people working on it to being a quarter of our business last year", she said.

Towards the end of 2014, Yahoo shares rose to 1.7 percent, closing in at $44.37. Stock prices rose by 25 percent, according to Bloomberg.

Yahoo also benefits through its 15 percent stake in Alibaba Group Holdings Ltd., the China-based e-commerce company.
