"Dragon Ball Super" episode 54 is entitled, "Inheritor of Saiayan Blood: Trunks Resolve." Although fans may think the inheritor pertained in the episode's title is either Trunks or Gohan, some speculates neither of them is the successor.
Other rumors suggest a new character may be introduced in the upcoming episode as the inheritor of Saiayan blood. A separate report implies another theory that the successor is somewhat related to Black Goku, Otaku Kart reported.
The write-up further said the upcoming episode may provide an in-depth information why Black Goku hates Saiayans. It may also feature some scenes including the Kaioshins from Universe 10, but one vague thing from the episode's title is the mention of Trunks' name. This may open another possibility that Trunks may be facing another potential dilemma as soon as episode 54 commences.
The official synopsis of the upcoming episode is, "Though they know that Zamasu and Black have extraordinarily similar Ki, they are unable to obtain any proof that the two are the same person. Meanwhile, Vegeta tells the Trunks from the future "I'm going to give you some training."
Though some details were already given, these may still be considered vague information since it cannot still describe the upcoming episode's total picture. Meanwhile, it has been reported that "Dragon Ball Super" will be having an English-dubbed version slated for release on May 22, 2017.
TOEI Animation USA released in their official website listing of different arcs of "Dragon Ball" including the DBS series while displaying a status of "in production." Beerus voice actor Jason Dougles previously hinted via Instagram that an English-dubbed "Dragon Ball Super" is already in the works. Dougles shared an image of Beerus from the first episode while leaving a caption "He's awakened."
The post has since been taken down but internet sources were able to preserve a screen shot of it. Episode 53 which was originally scheduled to air on July 24 was moved to July 31. Episode 54 will air at Fuji TV on Aug. 7.
