Early spoilers for "Bleach" chapter 684 are now out and it looks like Yhwach will not be backing down after Ichigo unleashed a devastating attack. Also, Ichigo's sword is in danger of getting broken yet again.
In the previous chapter, Renji, Ichigo and Aizen joined forces to stop the Almighty Yhwach. Renji's Bankai was immediately destroyed by the villain while Aizen also tried his luck by using some of his powerful techniques.
Early spoilers were unveiled courtesy of Manga Sail and the chapter begins with Ichigo and Aizen talking about how the latter was able to disrupt the future forecasting of the enemy. Ichigo tells Aizen that the reason why he was not affected by the Ryuutenmetsu was because he already knew the feeling of it back when they were still enemies. Aizen also affirms that this technique can actually stop Yhwach from further using his ace.
However, their conversation is cut short as Yhwach remains alive and casts a big shadow behind Aizen. The villain tells the latter that he finally found a way to break through his Ryuutenmetsu. He also reiterates that such technique is not enough to slay him. As Ichigo is about to get caught by the shadow, Ishida arrives at the scene and shoots an arrow.
Apparently, Ishida's arrows can actually halt Yhwach's ability even for just a bit. As Ichigo makes another attempt of unleashing Getsuga Tenshou on Yhwach, it was immediately stopped by the villain. Also, his sword is once again seen with a crack.
As a quick refresher on the previous chapter, Aizen was able to toy around with Yhwach using his illusion techniques and even led him to believe that it was Ichigo who he pierced and killed. This paved way for Ichigo to deal a massive blow to Yhwach, leaving his body with some serious damage.
Meanwhile, fans over at Manga Helpers believe there will be more allies to assist in the fight, which will leave the final villain cornered. Also, some fans suggest that Yhwach will try to kill Aizen first as he pose as the biggest threat due to his slyness. Here is a video review of the previous chapter.
