South Korean actor Kim Rae Won has been chosen as a new model for a renowned Korean herbal medicine brand, ATOCLASSIC. The 35-year-old star currently stars on SBS's "Doctors" along with Park Shin Hye, 26.
Latest reports claimed that Kim will appear on several advertisements for ATOCLASSIC in South Korea. In spite of his busy schedule, Kim apparently remained positive and energetic on set.
A representative from ATOCLASSIC stated to All K-Pop that Kim is receiving tremendous popularity both locally and internationally. Hence, it is expected to give positive influences on the brand image.
"The quality of our brand which strives to bring a healthy cosmetics product to people of all ages and genders makes a great match with actor Kim Rae Won, who possesses an authentic image through his personal usage of 'ATOCLASSIC' and his acting," the representative explained. "We expect that we will able to get a positive response as Kim Rae Won is currently very popular with not only Korean fans but also with fans overseas, thanks to his drama 'Doctors'."
Photos of Kim's photoshoot were then shared by fans on Facebook. The actor rose to fame in 2003's "Rooftop Room Cat" and is also known for his leading roles in "My Little Bride" (2004), "Love Story in Harvard" (2004-2005) and 2011's "A Thousand Days' Promise."
Meanwhile, "Doctors" has maintained its run as a new hit TV drama. According to Nielsen Korea, the 12th episode recorded a viewership rating of around 21.7 percent across Seoul national capital area.
During the drama's press conference on June 15, Kim revealed the factors why he chose to star in "Doctors." He said, "It's my first time playing a doctor. I felt burdened because the script has many cheesy lines, but I'm excited to play a bright role after so long since 'Attic Cat' and 'My Little Bride'."
