The "Queen of Pop" Beyonce is venturing into another territory. The singer is all set to follow in the footsteps of Oprah Winfrey as she plans to have a TV network of her own and looks forward to launching it within the next ten years.
The "Single Ladies" singer is expanding her empire through her management company Parkwood and is now setting up her own channel, according to The Sun. Insiders reveal that the singer intends to create her own TV network like Winfrey and plans to establish it within the next decade. However, she won't be delivering entertainment stuff like Winfrey.
"Her entertainment company Parkwood is doing very well and her desire is to create a network so she can have the freedom to bring the ideas of her closest creative friends to life," an insider told the publication. "The plan is to develop it within the next decade."
Her TV network will not be about life-changing talk shows, soaps, and sitcoms; stuff Winfrey Winfrey Network deals with. Rather, it would focus on something educational and is likely to include documentaries about American and African history. The publication reports that Beyonce wants to have a network that will give her the freedom to bring the ideas of her closest creative friends to life.
Meanwhile, it has also come to light that she replaced her management firm Parkwood, earlier this month with a new team, which includes JP Morgan's Steve Pamon. There were many reasons responsible for this decision, but her upcoming TV network was the prime cause, according to the Mirror.
It is worth mentioning here that Beyonce is not just a super successful music artist, she also has a fashion line of her own and is the owner of a pretty large business empire. Her charitable efforts are well-known and now that she is looking to become a TV producer, one can only say that the talent powerhouse is an awesome enterprising woman.
