South Korean actress Park Shin Hye is giving back to her Filipino fans by building the Shin Hye Center in Manila. This is the second Shin Hye Center ever established, as the first one is located in Ghana.

Park Shin Hye's volunteerism and charitable deeds are no secret, as she actively visits underprivileged children throughout the world and helps them with their needs. According to HanCinema, the "Doctors" actress visited Sampaloc, Manila in March 2016 to visit less fortunate in the area.

During her visit, Park interacted with the children and painted shirts with them using materials she brought from South Korea. She also had lunch with all 150 children participants, wherein she personally served food to each of the children.

During Park's visit in Manila, she visited the location where the building will be constructed. A celebratory event was held to kick off the construction of the center. According to Manila Bulletin, the center will be finished in October.

The first Park Shin Hye Center was opened in December 2013 in Ghana. It was a collaborative effort between the actress and her international fans club. The charity project was inspired by the assistance Park gave to a girl in Ghana named Avanne in 2011. The center has helped over 1,000 children in Ghana by providing them with basic education programs and facilities such as a library and playground.

The building in Manila will also have the same facilities.

The Hallyu star is currently enjoying the success of her on-going drama series "Doctors." The story centers on Park's Yoo Hye Jung, who was a delinquent as a child, but grew up to become a compassionate doctor - thanks to the transformative mentoring of Hong Ji Hong (Kim Rae Won). When Hye Jung becomes a neurosurgeon 13 years later, he meets her mentor again.

A fellow neurosurgeon, Jung Yoon Do (Yoon Kyung Sang), falls for Hye Jung, but their romance is not without obstacles. Hye Jung's biggest rival professionally is Jin Seo Woo (Lee Sung Kyung), who also likes Yoon Do. Will Hye Jung find happiness in love and career?

"Doctors" airs every Mondays and Tuesdays night on SBS.
