Luke Pell, 31, failed to win "The Bachelorette 2016" as JoJo Fletcher sent him home in Week 9. This let to rumors that the war veteran from Burnet, Texas, will follow the footsteps of Ben Higgins as the star of "The Bachelor 2017."

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Pell was asked about the possibility of being The Bachelor 2017" star. He said he would be excited about it and pointed out that he has seen firsthand that it worked having gone through the whole process with Fletcher.

"I was in love with her and it happened so fast, but it was real at the same time," Pell said of Fletcher. "It was real for us and it was real for me, so, I would be open to it again because I know it works. It's proven."

But in case Pell does not become "The Bachelor 2017" star, it appears that he can make himself busy with a career in music. What not many fans know is that the war veteran can actually sing and he is in a band that recently performed at South By Southwest.

Pell has two songs titled "Tungsten Steel" and "Fall of Me." Both are currently available on iTunes.

However, Pell is not the only one being rumored to star in "The Bachelor 2017." Medical sales representative Chase McNary, 27, from Castle Rock, Colorado, is also said to be in talks to star in the ABC reality dating game show.

McNary was eliminated in Week 9 of "The Bachelorette 2016." In the finale, Fletcher eliminated former competitive swimmer Robby Hayes, 27, from Jacksonville, Florida, and chose former pro quarterback Jordan Rodgers, 27, from Chico, California, as the winner.

This means that as the runner-up, Hayes is also a good candidate to become "The Bachelor 2017" star. Before becoming the star of "The Bachelorette 2016," Fletcher herself finished as the runner-up in "The Bachelor 2015" after Higgins chose Lauren Bushnell over her.
