The Xbox Live Games with Gold and Playstation Plus are now out and Microsoft is leading because of its quality free games lineup. Microsoft and Sony are expected to improve on the July games offering, a month with a mix of puzzle and strategy genres to choose from.

For August, PlayStation Plus offers "Furi" and "Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell" for the PS4, "Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood" and "Fat Princess" for the PS3 and "Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines" and "Prince of Persia: Revelations" for the PSP/ PS Vita according to PlayStationLifeStyles.net.

These titles will be appended by the PS Plus instant Game Collection such as "Rebel Galaxy" and "Tricky Towers" for the PS4, "Retro/Grade" and "Yakuza 5" for the PS3 and "Patapon 3" for the PSP/ PS Vita compatible. "Ultratron" will also be offered for the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

Looking at the Xbox Live Games for Gold this August, four new games are up for grabs. Xbox One subscribers can look forward to "Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate" and "WWE 2K16" the Xbox 360 gamers will have "Spelunky" and "Beyond Good & Evil HD", Major Nelson reported. Thanks to Microsoft's Backwards compatibility program, the Xbox 360 titles can be played on the Xbox One.

Based on the number of games offered, Sony gives gamers a variety of games to choose from. Quality-wise, Microsoft is seen offering marquee game titles like "WWE 2K16," "Spelunky" and the classic "Beyond Good & Evil HD."

When placed side-by-side and focusing on quality gaming emphasis, the Xbox Live Games with Gold is picked over the PlayStation Plus offering, Attack of the Fanboy reported. With the bar raised these days on quality games to get, Microsoft's offers are simply too tempting to pass up when compared to the mid-quality game titles listed by the PS Plus program.
