Pokémon GO tracking app Poké Vision no longer works following the game update dispatched by Niantic but a new cheat tool, with nearly the same features, has immediately become available to Android users. The hack when applied promises "you won't miss any rare Pokémon anymore."

XDA Developers senior member cyrilp posted in a thread how the new Smart Poké V2 will behave when used. He advertised that the "application will help you find Pokémon around you using your phone and/or your Android Wear watch." One key function is that the app will alert users with notifications when and where Pokémon are spawned.

The Pokémon spotting, specifically for the rare kinds, is in real-time and fairly accurate, XDA's cyrilp assured.

Picking up on the new hack, The Verge took the tool for a spin and concluded that Smart Poké  delivers so far. When activated, the app will display in real-time freshly spawned Pokémon in an area that is near a given player and all the necessary details to effectively catch the pocket monsters are provided.

Tapping, for instance, on a Pokémon that Smart Poké has pinpointed, users will be presented with a card that details everything about the creature - if it is a rare find or not, the approximate distance of the animal from the player's position and the time left before the Pokémon disappears.

As mentioned above, gamers' chance of netting the identified Pokémon will be boosted by taking advantage of the game app's notification feature, which is also a trick that will make not only for efficient Pokémon hunting but also in saving battery power.

Smart Poké creator cyrilp reminds that the app "is a work in progress many features will be added," likely indicating that efficiency and accuracy will be further improved. The app is ready to download via Google Play Store and there is no indication if an iOS version will be released soon.

However, The Verge is not too optimistic, noting on its report that Niantic is presently on a crackdown mode to spot and punish cheaters. The Pokémon GO developer already killed third-party apps that function in the same way Smart Poké does. And cheaters have been dealt with harshly with some booted out or banned from the game permanently.

"Google Play has been fairly diligent in removing apps like Smart Poké 2, so its longevity is questionable," the report said, adding that the usefulness of the tracking app is unlikely to last long enough.
