When a TV series is shot, there are various scenes that are scrapped and are never telecasted. "Game of Thrones" production and the making are no different.

The HBO TV series has kept entertaining audiences since 2011 with thrilling action and mind storming conspiracies. After entertaining the fans for 60 hours, 13 more episodes are awaiting the small screen hit. According to reports, the seventh season will be aired in summer 2017 while the blood-shedding series will come to an end in 2018 with its eighth and the final season.

However, in so many hours of entertainment, there are certain scenes that were scrapped because the makers found them insignificant compared to the others scenes in sequence. Here are some of those scrapped scenes that you may find interesting to read about.

Season 1, Episode 9

If you ever have followed the original novel "A Game of Thrones," you would have noticed the first big battle was held between "half-man" Tyron and the Stark forces. The showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss said they were excited to telecast the battle in a huge way as planned but the budget limitations, according to Digital Spy, did not allow them to shoot it the way they wanted.

Season 4, Episode 8

The showrunners shot the "Game of Thrones" Red Viper's death scene in a grislier manner but they could not release the same. The way Ser Gregor Clegane kills Oberyn Martell was not shot that way originally. Instead, it was more gruesome.

Season 6, Episode 5

The most recent of all the scrapped scenes was the original shooting of the demise of Hodor. "The Door" director Jack Bender shot the scene in a different way than what was released on the screen. He wanted the demise scene to have more severe effects but the Benioff and Weiss were not convinced. They said if the scene was made horrific, there were chances that the loss of Hodor would lack sentiments and emotions, which they wanted the audiences to feel ultimately.

Season 6, Episode 9

The "Winterfall" battle was completely different from what was revealed on screen. The makers seemed dissatisfied with the clash scene shooting between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton. This was because the scene did not come out the way it was originally scripted. In the sequence, instead of Ramsay's men, Snow was to be surrounded by lots of horses. However, the involvement of the horses in such a way might have raised animal behavior concerns, which made the makers reshoot the scene with men.

Besides the above mentioned scenes, there have been several Ser Denys Mallister's scenes that were scrapped in season 5 and onwards. In addition, one of the scenes in Season 5 was the one where Daario Naharis teases Grey Worm relating to the troubles raised by the latter's love life. His incomplete anatomical features, according to the Wall Street Journal, were highlighted there. The scene was found unsuitable to Worm's character and hence it was scrapped.
