Besides the OST song recorded by SISTAR’s Hyorin for “Uncontrollably Fond,” another OST song is coming out for the new Korean drama which aims to match the popularity of “Descendants of the Sun.”
The song is composed by Bae Suzy, lead actress of the drama. Soompi reported on Wednesday that its source revealed the actress just finished recording the OST song. She was able to compose and record the original song despite her busy schedule.
It is her first self-written song, although the actress had previously recorded a duet song, “Dream” with Bekhyun of EXO and released in July another OST song, “Ring My Bell.”
It appears that by releasing new OST songs, “Uncontrollably Fond” seeks to regain the viewers it recently lost to “W” and “Doctors.” Some critics, however, blamed Bae Suzy’s alleged poor acting for the lower viewer ratings of the drama.
But while it is Bae Suzy’s acting which has received negative feedback, her co-star, Kim Woo Bin, is the one who is worried about not meeting fans’ expectation. In a message he left on his fan café on Monday, using the name of his “Uncontrollably Fond” character Shin Joon Young, the actor wrote, “On one hand I am sorry about not being able to show a bright and cheerful character,” quoted Soompi.
The actor added that he had learned a lot from his role as Shin Joon Young, particularly the different emotions he portrayed in his Hallyu character, reported MovieNewsGuide.
