Niantic has no updates yet on the Pokémon GO South East Asia rollout but a local carrier in the Philippines is already announcing that they will support the AR game through free data.

Pokémon GO recently launched in Japan which made neighboring countries excited. Malaysia, India, China and the Philippines immediately expected that they will be the next countries to receive the official rollout for Niantic's AR game.

Unfortunately, there are no updates yet and Niantic recently announced on the app's official Twitter page that Pokémon GO will be rolled out in Brazil and the rest of Latin America next. This means that the Pokémon GO Asia rollout might be postponed.

Local network carrier Smart in the Philippines has recently announced that they are also anticipating Pokémon GO to be released in the country and that they will be giving their customers a whole week of free data access for the game once it rolls out, Inquirer has learned. Both Android and iOS users will be able to avail of the promo once the game releases.

Besides the free data, Smart also teased that there will be more "special treats and promos" for Pokémon GO players. The fact that one of the Philippines's largest carriers announced their support in advance means that the Pokémon GO release date for the Philippines might be not far off as everyone thinks.

While the Philippines might be close to receive Pokémon Go, China and India might take more time. Both of the countries have some of the largest populations across the world and the fact that Niantic had problems with the Japan release due to the number of players means that it could also be the issue for the said countries.

Niantic, however, is also planning to launch Pokémon GO for Brazil and the rest of Latin America. The Pokémon GO Malaysia and India release date could be revealed much later, FX News Call reported.

Most updates for the Pokémon GO app are posted on the official Twitter page. The most recent news is that Pokémon GO will be released in Brazil and Latin America. Niantic still has no Pokémon GO release date for the Philippines, Malaysia, India and China.
