A telenovela hottie is joining the cast of "Quantico" Season 2. Reports confirm that actor Aarón Díaz has been cast as photojournalist León Velez. The character is a recurring role that has been promoted to series regular in the new season.

The "thrill-seeking photojournalist" has been described as having "no home or life outside his backpack," TV Line reported. Díaz is appearing on several episodes of "Quantico" Season 2, including the season premiere which will air on Sept. 25, Sunday.

Díaz's credits include Spanish-language drama series "Los Miserables" and a brief stint on American television series "Pan Am."

The 34-year-old is joined by two other "Quantico" newcomers: Blair Underwood and Russel Tovey. Underwood is also taking on series-regular character Owen Hall, who is said to be the charming and intelligent CIA officer everyone is aspiring to become, or at least learn from.

"Blair Underwood is the kind of actor you dream of writing for. Be it romantic comedy, dark drama, or high-octane thriller - there is nothing he can't do," The Hollywood Reporter quoted Quantico creator Joshua Safran as saying.

On the other hand, Tovey is playing Harry Doyle, who is a mysterious fellow who can disguise himself as anyone to anybody. He's "just as likely to seduce your husband as he is to pick his pocket when it's over," the official character description detailed. Safran also revealed that the role was specifically written for the English actor, saying he'd always wanted to work with him ever since he saw him in "The History Boys."

Tovey was previously seen in HBO's critically-acclaimed comedy "Looking."

"Quantico" Season 2 will show Alex Parrish's (Priyanka Chopra) transition to the CIA, after having been fired by the FBI. At the beginning of the sophomore run, Alex finds himself in the CIA's training facility called "The Farm." As she learns the ropes of her new environment, she is embroiled in a new controversy that threatens her country and the rest of the globe.

Aside from Chopra, returning cast members include Aunjanue Ellis, Jake McLaughlin and Johanna Braddy.

"Quantico" Season 2 is set to premiere on ABC on Sept. 25.
