According to reports, scan refresh rate for the Pokemon has increased from 5 seconds to 10 seconds.

Capture rates have also been determined. Several Reddit users have come across base capture rate percentages with the associated creatures.

It determines a player's chances of capture in Pokemon Go and whether it is feasible to utilize the suitable tools to make the encounter useful.

According to a post on Reddit, Magikarp is the easiest Pokemon to catch at 56%, Oddish is the second easiest at 48%, followed by Rattata, Pidgey, Weedle and Caterpie at 40%. Mew, Mewtwo, Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos have a 0% base capture rate.

On the other hand, Blastoise, Charizard, Dragonite and Venusaur are the most difficult creatures to capture. These creatures are listed at 4%.

There are also other factors that come into play when capturing a creature, including their ability to flee, their level and throwing accuracy. The creatures tend to be more active since the update.

Niantic has raised the scan refresh rate in the game, making it harder for gamers using public transportation or riding bikes to discover Pokemon in their area, according to a Reddit user.

Now, some gamers are saying that this is making it difficult to capture creatures while on bikes or in vehicles.

The scan rate for a creature appearance had been increased from 5 seconds to 10 seconds. When Pokemon Go first came out, it was just one second, and after that, it was updated to five seconds.

The change may have been done to ease the strain on the servers of the game. Some reports suggest that this could have been done to prevent third-party scanner services from working.

The company has said that they are unhappy with apps and websites that help gamers locate creatures in real time. The refresh rate will make any of these services stop functioning till they update their API.

Reports indicate that Niantic does not like the idea of people playing Pokemon Go without walking, and therefore, this change was implemented particularly to make using the game under any other circumstance more hard if not completely impossible.
