The Director of "Mortal Kombat X" Ed Boon has again hinted more details about the game through his Twitter account.  His exact message, however, was not encouraging to fans as he just cued to them that they would have to continue anticipating zealously for "Kombat Pack 3."

According to Attack of the Fanboy, Boon had previously posted a poll on Twitter asking fans what they were expecting. He gave the choices of "MK11," "Shaolin Monks" sequel, and "Kombat Pack 3." Over 13000 fans proceeded to take the vote and the polls were shortly closed.

Unsurprisingly, "Kombat Pack 3" came in the first place with 44 percent. "Shaolin Monks" sequel got 31 percent while "MK11" came in the last position with only 25 percent.

On July 29, Boon posted another "Mortal Kombat X-related" poll on Twitter, but unfortunately for fans, none of the choices included "Kombat Pack 3." The results showed a high demand for a Good Game Peace Out (GGPO) for PC and a balancing update for "Mortal Kombat X" game characters.

Even more disheartening, fans of "Mortal Kombat X" were disappointed when Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2016 ended without the mentioning of "Kombat Pack 3." Apparently, the game developer NetherRealm Studios, was reportedly focusing most of its resources on the upcoming game dubbed" Injustice 2." And this was the main reason why news of "Kombat Pack 3" was unheard of at the EVO event.

During a PlayStation Blog Cast, Boon had admitted that NetherRealm was very busy working on "Injustice 2" and that the new game was overlapping with "Mortal Kombat X" Pack 3, hence the delay on the reports of a release date for third "Kombat pack 3." Gamers were surprised, however, when Boon communicated that they did not intend to mention anything related to "Mortal Kombat X" at the EVO event.

He assured fans not to despair because there was a great expectation regarding "Injustice 2" and that, NetherRealm had big plans for the upcoming game, hence its focus was entirely directed to it. He also told gamers to expect big news on "Kombat Pack 3" in the near future.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that NetherRealm will halt its support for the PC version of "Mortal Kombat X." The upcoming DLC is, therefore, speculated to get rolled out in other platforms and gamers would be required to switch to other gaming consoles in order to get future updates.

Nevertheless, until the speculations are confirmed, "Mortal Kombat X" will remain available for the PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. Check out the video below for more "Kombat X" updates:
