Kim Ji Won aka Kim Bobby or Bobby of iKON and Song Min Ho aka Minho or Mino of WINNER were spotted performing live on Itaewon streets on Aug. 5, Friday. Their pumped up performance in front of a popular club heated the night with a supposed filming of a music video.
The two rappers gave a surprise guerrilla performance and quickly attracted many fans and passers by. Photos and videos of Bobby and Mino rapping and dancing then circulated online. The duo's performance seemed to have held to shoot a footage for their upcoming joint unit music video.
Bobby and Mino will reportedly drop a collaborative album around the middle of this month, Officially KMusic reported. Their working together will be the first rapper unit formed under YG following GD&TOP of popular boy band BIGBANG.
Bobby and Mino were previously eyed to debut as a unit, though there was little information about it. Most recently, however, recent captures of the two YG Entertainment talents looked like they really are set to debut together as a single unit.
After having individual solo releases, the two K-Pop stars were rumored to release a unit album together. The duo's music video together is said to have the two tacking tradition hip hop which was not done yet by their respective groups iKON and WINNER.
Earlier reports had it that the rappers of their respective boy band will make a solo comeback at the same time, according to YG-Life. Both have proven their worth in the world of music in their own groups as skilled and talented rappers, in "Show Me the Money" and in other occasions. Hence, the anticipation of their comeback is quite soaring.
Also recognized as a solo artist, Mino's solo track was in the album of WINNER's. He and Bobby were reportedly giving final touch of their solo albums as their respective comeback are anticipated to be very soon.
Both Bobby and Mino won in Mnet's "Show Me the Money" - the former as the champion in Season 3 (2014) prior to his official debut, while the latter as the runner up in Season 4 (2015). Their songs performed in the cable channel's show garnered higher ratings than the other contestants.
