Apple is geared up for its biggest launch event in September, when the company plans to launch several products. Apple Watch 2 is one of the gadgets expected to make its debut during the event alongside the iPhone 7, iPad mini 5, new Mac Pro and iPhone 7 Plus.

The Cupertino firm has not made any official announcement with regards to the Watch 2. However, rumors are running wild that the company will include a new touch panel technology in the device. It is a one glass solution, which is also called OGS.

Do you know the purpose of OGS? According to reports, OGS helps to build a thinner watch that can accommodate a little larger battery. Despite the change, the new watch won't have any contrast in look to its predecessor.

There will be a new replacement as the tech giant has plans to switch from OLED display to Micro LED technology. The best part of Micro LED technology is that it helps to enhance the battery life, thus providing a higher display resolution and a higher color gamut, Digitimes reported.

Among the other features, the Watch 2 boasts a high-definition front snapper that will help to establish FaceTime conversations between the users. In addition, the device has an LTE technology installed in it that comes with an updated technology and fitness tracking apps.

In a survey recently conducted by NextWorth, about 6 million Apple watches are anticipated to be sold in the first few weeks of its launch. The survey further suggests that Apple will sell more Watch 2 units compared to the first Apple Watch when it was launched.

Samsung is keen on copying Apple's watch schematics so as to inspire its customers more. Recently, the South Korean company filed a patent that shows many familiar looking images. Samsung experimented with Apple's drawings and its own design drawings so as to develop an intricate style of swapping bands for smartwatches, SamMobile reported.

The forecast is that almost 50 percent of the first Apple Watch users are likely to upgrade to the newer watch that is imminent next month. Another 22 percent, according to the survey, are said to be planning to buy the new smartwatch. As for the upcoming Apple launch event, it is likely to happen within the first two weeks of September.
