Harmon revealed in an interview they have decided not to include Mr. Meeseeks in season 2, but admitted they eventually realized they needed to include the blue creature in the next season. The creator said both him and Roiland agreed they would be bringing back the character if they come up with something good to offer.

Aside from the return of Mr. Meeseeks, show creators are also thinking of adding another episode to the show's sub-franchise entitled "Interdimensional Cable." Roiland said they are still figuring it out and admitted it is not an easy episode to make, Slashfilm reported.

He also added they are in the works of including a different element which could turn the show to something amazing. Roiland did not further go into details as he mentioned it's one of those things which has not been heard before. Revealing other information would only create spoilers, the showrunner added.

Meanwhile, hints are being dropped that the animated TV series may be introduced by Stop Motion Claymation. Dieter Wagner recently posted on Twitter a picture of him working on a "Rick and Morty" promo for Adult Swim. The director previously did a fan animation for the said show which caught the attention of both the show runners, iDigital Times reported.

He is now set to produce a promo for the upcoming season of the TV animation. As of the moment, other details like the show's premiere date is still under the wrap. It has already been confirmed the show will be airing this year, with a no particular date revealed yet.
