With a price tag of 39 yuan ($5.85), avid fans can now own the said special hanger of their choice. The special hangers would place the head of the South Korean artists on top of a body. Once the user places garments over the special hanger, it will then resemble the half-body image of their preferred artists.

Apart from the aforementioned South Korean actors, k-pop idols BIGBANG and EXO were also featured. While many netizens are glad about the special item, it appears as though that the Chinese retailer TaoBao did not acquire consent to create these items.

"We have not signed a contract for the production and sale of the hangers," a source from Song's agency, Blossom Entertainment, told Soompi. "After close examination, we will take appropriate measures."

This is not the first time merchants in China have taken advantage of the "Descendants of the Sun" actor's unwavering fame. In early April, several Chinese merchants were selling spirit money, also known as hell money, with the actor's character Yoo Shi Jin (aka Big Boss) imprinted on it. It reportedly cost 50,000 won ($43) each.

Traditionally, the hell money is burned as offerings to the dead during the Qingming Festival, roughly translates into Tomb Sweeping Day in English, where the Chinese individuals pay respects to their ancestors.

Song made his acting debut in 2008's "A Frozen Flower." After appearing in several movies, dramas and reality shows, the 30-year-old actor experienced a tremendous growth in his popularity after he starred in KBS 2TV's "Descendants of the Sun" alongside actress Song Hye-Kyo.

The Hallyu star successfully concluded his "2016 Song Joong-Ki Asia Tour Fan Meeting" on July 26, after holding separate meet-and-greet events across Seoul, Bangkok, Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Chengdu, Taipei and Shanghai, The Kpop Herald reported.
