Game developer Studio Wildcard announced that the PlayStation 4 version of "Ark: Survival Evolved" will not be released until it is completed. It was also announced that the Survival of the Fittest version on the PC will be removed.

The game developer wrote on the official forums of the dinosaur survival video game that console manufacturer Sony Entertainment will not allow its in-development version on the PS4. They suggested that if the fans wanted to play the game on the PS4, they should reach out to Sony to make it happen.

Studio Wildcard explained that the release of the video game on the PS4 will be up to Sony. They were informed by the console manufacturer that they could not release the game on the platform until everything has been finished. The studio wanted to release the video game earlier, since Sony's latest console already has a version of the game running internally.

"Survival Evolved" has a PC version that can be accessed through Steam Early Access. It also has an Xbox One version, which can be accessed through the console's Game Preview feature. The PS4 does not have a program that lets players gain early access to certain video games, which might explain the situation.

In other "Ark: Survival Evolved" related news, Studio Wildcard will be removing the PC version of "Survival of the Fittest" on Steam. The game studio said on the video game's official Steam page that the PS4 and Xbox One version are still on hold indefinitely. They wanted to see how the changes would develop in the long term, without making hasty decisions about it.

The game studio said that they have come to a decision that they will bring back the video game internally as a part of the "Ark: Survival Evolved" package. It will still continue to exist as its own application, and players who have played it can still continue to access it, without having to own the other game. They added that to move forward, they will consider it as a part of the product group of "Survival Evolved."
