The "Descendants of the Sun" fever is far from over, and fans are still not over with the love story of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, as well as Jin Goo and Kim Ji Won. The four main cast members recently got together for a special project. Does this mean a second season of the show is underway?

Maybe, but not quite. The stars of "Descendants of the Sun" gathered to record a commentary for the director's cut DVD of the hit South Korean drama series. Writers Kim Eun Sook and director Lee Eung Bok also participated, Soompi reported. KBS released a photo of the Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, as well as Jin Goo and Kim Ji Won at the recording studio.

The DVD, which includes never before seen footages, special interviews and music videos, will be released in November.

While an official DVD release will be enough for fans to binge watch the show again and again, there's still a lot of buzz regarding "Descendants of the Sun" season 2. Of the four main stars, Jin Goo has been most vocal about his desire to return on screen as Seo Dae Young, if the opportunity arises.

"I saw reports on it, and if there is a season 2, then of course I will take part," the 36-year-old actor said, as quoted by allkpop. "I will do it again no matter how successful or not it may be since I received a great gift from it. I have to pay back what I received."

Rumors about "Descendants of the Sun" season 2 boomed when KBS drama department head Jung Sung Ho announced they are planning to do launch a project for broadcast in 2017, and that it will be negotiated with the original cast and production team.

As for life after "Descendants of the Sun," Jin Goo shared that a lot has changed with respect to his popularity.

"It's amazing how people recognize me in other countries. I understand maybe in Asia, but I was really surprised to be recognized in Paris, France. It was cool how people of different races recognize me," the actor said about his increasing popularity.
