MBC has recently confirmed the broadcast schedule for the hit drama "W" that will air during the second week of August. Meanwhile, cast member Lee Jong Suk has shared a teaser image that featured a sweet scene with his co-star Han Hyo Joo.
The Korean network MBC has announced that it will air the seventh episode of "W" on its regular broadcast schedule on Wednesday, Aug. 10, Soompi reported. Previous reports have indicated the network's plans to cancel the release of the drama's episodes 7 and 8. MBC was looking to broadcast the sports matches of the Rio Olympics during the series' Wednesday and Thursday timeslots.
However, MBC's plans were met with numerous feedback from avid viewers who voiced their frustration online. Many fans became angry over the network's planned broadcast cancellation for the drama's two episodes to air on the week of Aug. 10. The netizen's comments prompted MBC to forego its initial plans and release episode 7 as scheduled.
Although the network has yet to announce whether episode 8 will air on Thursday, Aug. 11, as indicated in the same report. MBC explained that it has placed "W" on a second priority level given the important Olympic matches scheduled on the said date. The Korean network also shared that it has yet to finalize its Thursday broadcast schedule. Avid fans would have to wait for further announcements from MBC.
In other news, cast member Lee took to Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 10 to post a picture of himself with co-star Han, allkpop reported. In the photo, both Korean celebrities wore the same pink colored long-sleeved shirt. Lee smiled brightly at the camera as he gave Han a back hug. On the other hand, the actress had her eyes closed as she held onto Lee's arms.
The actor captioned the image, "Is today broadcast day?" Lee posted the said photo ahead of MBC's confirmation of the drama's episode 7 release schedule.
Meanwhile, the photograph has also hinted of the sweet moments between the two protagonists. Viewers may expect to see Lee and Han's cute interactions with each other in the drama's upcoming episodes.
"W" airs every Wednesday and Thursday on MBC.
