Not all Pokémon are created equal. Some, the rare and so-called powerful Legendaries, are hard to find and even harder to catch. Thankfully, a group of players shared the list of all known Pokémon GO characters and the details that matter to players - the probable rate of catching and not catching them.

Tech Insider picked up the Reddit post of Pokémon GO players that purportedly contain "extracted data from the game's code." What were revealed are the pocket monsters that would be easy to collect and the types that likely will only lead to frustration.

The Redditors claimed that of all the Pokémon currently available, Magikarp and Oddish are the easiest catch. Per the GO game code, the chance of adding Magikarp to one's collection of Pokémon is a high of 56 percent while Oddish comes next with capture rate of 48 percent.

The mid-rangers, meaning not easy and not too hard to catch, are Caterpie, Weedle, Pidgey and Rattata. These Mons registered capture rate of 40 percent, which for most players will be worth the time and trouble.

Now for the really hard to catch, the Reddit post identified them as the following: Blastoise, Charizard, Venosaur and Dragonite. Chasing after these characters is a challenge by itself and all the more trapping them. Best of luck on such a mission as the post indicated of only four percent capture rate, which suggests that Poké Balls will run out and they will continue jump around before finally disappearing.

The list, of course, includes all the Legendary - Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, Mewtwo and Mew - and Tech Insider said that so far these rare Pokémon boast of zero chance to capture, adding that Niantic has likely designed them for giveaways so don't bother hunting.

In the same report, Tech Insider shared some pointers for easier Pokémon hunting mission:

First thing to note is that all Pokémon seem harder to catch following a game update as they tend to bounce and jump more energetically.

The level of specific Pokémon determines the chance of players catching it.

Throwing the Poké Ball also affects the chance of capturing Pokémon - higher throw accuracy, greater chance of catch success.

And there are, in fact, available tricks to pocket more Pokémon: Feed them with Razz Berries then use special balls known as Ultra Ball and Great Ball.

Or when the hunt is proving more difficult that it should, the best option is to grow your own powerful Pokémon - hatch the Egg, nurture the Mon and level it up, which is a task, by the way, that can be accelerated by the readily available Pokémon GO cheats and hacks.
