Bryant hopes for a "rebirth" of his glory days playing basketball. Noting Tim Duncan and his team and how he thought they were at the end of their terms, yet, still able to claim the championship, beating the Miami Heat last season.

When asked about his pending retirement, the shooting guard denied it, saying, "No, It's not true. It's not true." In his twitter post acquired by The Washington Post, it said, "Really? Me. Retire?? Soon, but not yet Vino still has work to do."

The 35-year-old NBA star sparked speculations about his retirement when he made a post on his Facebook account about a "major announcement." That announcement turned out to be about a charity venture and not some announcement about his retirement.

Also, Bryant is the center of attention about his thoughts on Phil Jackson's book, "Eleven Rings," where he compared Bryant and Michael Jordan and their work ethics. In his book, he described Jordan as the more sociable player, interacting with anyone that has a part in his team, while Bryant was more of the reserved one, probably because he entered the league at a very young age.

Jackson was quick to comment on his twitter account, not to put so much negative thought on his words, but the post didn't passed by without Bryant reacting, "The comparisons are #apples2oranges, Wonder what the perception would be if M played wit @shaq instead."

Bryant's interview with ESPN will be aired on March 1, 8pm. Eastern Standard Time.
