The fans are truly waiting for the 4 episode OVA to be aired on August 28 and as per the latest update, the post production work is going on in full swing.
This anime series has been very popular and the manga readers too are waiting for the story line of the upcoming episodes. According to Manga Sail, in chapter 187 of the manga, the battle against the Ten Commandments will be more fierce. Denzel and the female demon Derrierie will have a very strong battle and her powers will defeat Denzel many a times. In season 1 the storyline was pretty much in sync with the manga chapters, however, the 4 episode OVA might deviate from the same. The fans of Marineford are waiting for the resurrection of Meliodas, and it is expected that in the OVAs, he will be present.
The fans already know that Tomokazu Tokoro has joined as a director of the project ''Seven Deadly Sins'', Yuniko Ayana and Yuichiro Kido as script writers, Keigo Sasaki as a designer of the characters, Tomoko Sudo as the chief animation director and Takafumi Wada and Hiroyuki Sawano as music composers. Yūki Kaji is reprising to give the voice to the protagonist Meliodas.
Kaji had worked in many anime and non-anime series. He worked in many anime series like ''Ouran High School Host Club'' (as Chikage Ukyo), ''Tokyo Ghoul'' and ''Tokyo Ghoul √A,'' (as Ayato Kirishima), ''Attack on Titan: Junior High'' (as Eren Jaeger), ''High School DxD,'' ''High School DxD New,'' and ''High School DxD BorN'' (as Issei Hyōdō) and many other popular TV anime series.
Kaji is affiliated with VIMS anime news network in Japan and has been giving his voice to many anime series since 2006. This 30 year old actor won the best male lead role award in the 7th Seiyu Awards in 2013 and 8th Seiyu Awards in 2014. Currently the season 1 is being re-telecast on a few channels and the viewers can watch it on Netflix too.
While the viewers wait for the 4 episode OVA to be featured, they can enjoy a recap of season 1. Episode 6 of season 1 which was originally telecast on Nov. 9, 2014 was entitled ''Hajimari no Uta" in Japanese ("Ballad of the Beginning"). This episode started with the scene of Meliodas and Diane still fighting with each other after being hypnotised by the sound of the bell. Princess Elizabeth tries to stop the fight but fails as the duo again take the vibes from the bell and start fighting with a new enthusiasm. The Holy Knight Friesia tries to harm the shepherds and Elizabeth while trying to save them gets injured.
It was later revealed that one of the shepherds was Ruin, and he attacks Elizabeth who tried to save him sometime back. Elizabeth finally manages to knock off the bell and Meliodas and Diane come out of the spell of hallucination. Meliodas takes on Ruin to safeguard Elizabeth and Diane starts fighting with the Holy Knight Friesia. After defeating Ruin and Friesia, all of them continue their march towards Baste Dungeon.
In episode 5, the viewers saw that Jude of the Weird Fangs had stabbed Ban in the chest. In episode 6, Ban manages to overpower Jude and unites with Meliodas to create a powerful re-union. Even though the team had managed to reach Baste Dungeon, Golgius locks them in with the Eternal Seal Spell. The union of Ban and Meliodas breaks the spell and all of them rejoice.
In the evening they celebrate with a great meal provided by Dana and they get to know that the King is alive and is working with Gilthunder. He is in Liones and the team gets to know about a bad omen which will impact the city of Britannia.
