The production team of the upcoming SBS series has identified the two countries as part of its filming locations given the drama's plotline. Lee and Jun's latest acting project tells the story of a mermaid and a conman. The rich blue waters and exotic coastlines that can be found in the said two countries would be a perfect backdrop for the series. It will also add to the beautiful scenery that will be featured in the drama.

It appears that the SBS drama's showrunners have placed great care in ensuring that all the details of the upcoming fantasy romance series were addressed, as indicated in the same report. Producers and crew members have been diligently looking at suitable areas to film the drama. Casting activities have also reportedly gone through a similar rigorous process.

The upcoming drama will mark both Lee and Jun's return to the small screens. Lee's last drama was "Heirs" where he starred alongside Park Shin Hye. On the other hand, the "You Who Came from the Stars" actress has been out of the public's eye since she gave birth to her first child in the early part of 2016. Jun will portray the mermaid in "Legend of the Blue Sea," while Lee will play the role of a con artist.

Other stars who will join the two Korean celebrities include Shin Hye Sun. The actress is known for her role in the KBS drama "Five Children." Shin is set to portray Cha Si Ah, a university junior to Lee's character, allkpop reported.

"Legend of the Blue Sea" has been slated for a November release.
