There is no jailbreak update at the moment and the latest version remains iOS 9.2-9.3.3 from Pangu. The possibility of a JB tool for the upcoming iOS 10 remains iffy at best. However, Cydia creator Saurik has released a new version of Cydia Eraser, formerly known as Cydia Impactor.

The tool, according to iClarified, will "remove and revert all changes made to your jailbroken device and return it to stock Apple iOS. It will be a clean slate following the procedure, which the report said is designed to wipe out jailbreaks from iOS 7.1 to 9.3.3.

But jailbreak fans must know that "running this tool with destroy all of your data," so iClarified recommended that backup must be made before launching Cydia Eraser into action.

Now why one would want to hard-reset an iPhone, erase everything and lose the device's jailbreak state?

Perhaps not all things about the latest Pangu jailbreak are convincing so users thinking about getting rid of the device, the Cydia Eraser is just the perfect solution, according to Tech Times. The report added that Saurik's latest creation does not require iTunes login for restoring and updating an iPhone, which also means that restoring the Pangu iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak will be a non-issue.

And specifically for some users, the recent jailbreak might have cause nagging issues on the device. The free and quick fix is the Cydia Eraser. Firing it up on a device with problematic jailbreak will not only make the problem disappear but also restore the device "to a pristine iOS 9.3.3."

But really the most compelling reason to use Cydia Eraser is the upcoming iPhone 7 release, which is but a few weeks away. Those planning an immediate jump and sell their current iPhones (to offset some of the dollars to spend) stand to get higher value from the existing models.

Per Tech Times: "If you're thinking about selling a device, know that a jailbroken gadget sells for less than one that was not tampered with. By using Cydia Eraser to revert it to the default settings, you can get extra cash for it."

Saurik or Jay Freeman made Cydia Eraser version 0.9.32 available here.
