A particular airtime has finally been revealed for Lee Min-Ho and Jun Ji-Hyun's upcoming SBS drama, "Legend of the Blue Sea." The 20-episode drama was given a Wednesday-Thursday time slot and will premiere on Nov. 16.

Ahead of its scheduled principal photography, "My Love From The Star" actress Na Young-Hee, 54, and Cross Gene's Shin Won-Ho, 24, are set to join the previously announced cast of "Legend of the Blue Sea." The latter will play an elite hacker, Tae-O, who works with Jo Nam-Doo (Lee Hee-Joon) and Heo Joon-Jae (Min-Ho) in criminal activities.

The upcoming fantasy drama is the latest project from screenwriter Park Ji-Eun of 2013-2014's hit drama, "My Love From The Star." It is motivated by a mermaid story in "Euo Yadam" short story collection by Joseon scholar, Yu Mong-In.

"Legend of the Blue Sea" revolves around a county magistrate, Kim Dam-Ryung, who released mermaids into the ocean. The mermaids were then later caught by a fisherman. Jun has been cast to play the mermaid, Sim Chung, who is struggling to adjust to human life in Seoul.

She then meets the cynical con artist, Heo Joon Jae (present time)/ Kim Moo (Joseon Dynasty). The two shortly form a close bond, which seemingly leads to a one of a kind romantic relationship.

Apart from the aforementioned characters, "My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox" actor, Sung Dong-Il and "Passionate Love" actress, Hwang Shin-Hye, are currently in negotiations to join the cast, Drama Beans reported. Interestingly, the latter will play the bad guy, who wants to sell the mermaid to the highest bidder.

With PD Jin Hyeok at the helm, it was previously reported that the filming for the drama will commence in the island of Palau later this month. It will then be followed by another filming in Spain sometime in September.

"The two of them are going to Palau and Spain for the overseas filming of SBS's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Legend of the Blue Sea'," a source revealed to Soompi. "Since the content of the drama involves exotic coasts and the title itself includes blue sea, they are leaving to film overseas."

"Legend of the Blue Sea" first airs on Nov. 16 in South Korea. Check out Min-Ho's full interview with Drama Fever below:
