The filming for the 4 episode OVA (Original Video Animation) is almost complete for ''Seven Deadly Sins'' and most of the staff from the season 1 have been retained. Misaki Kuno will give the voice to the character of Hawk as she had done in season 1.
Kuno's list is quite long when it comes to her work as a voice artist in Japanese anime series. Along with giving her voice to anime series like ''Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai'' (as Bridget Evans), ''World Conquest Zvezda Plot'' (as Kate Hoshimiya and Lady Venera), ''Nanatsu no Taizai'' (in 2014 as Hawk in season 1), ''Noragami Aragoto'' (as Hinaha) and many other series, she has given voice to many characters in movies too.
Kuno dubbed the voice of the character of Rebecca "Newt" Jorden in ''Alien'' which was originally released in the US on Jul. 18, 1986, and was dubbed in Japanese in 2003. ''Finding Nemo'' which was released on May. 30, 2003 in the US had the voice of LuLu Ebeling (who gave the voice to the character of Darla Sherman, Dr. Sherman's very destructive niece) in English and Kuno dubbed it in Japanese. According to my anime news network, she lent her voice to many anime series, movies, theatrical animations, video games at a tender at of 23.
Going back to the season 1, the ninth episode was aired on Nov. 30, 2014 and was entitled "Ankoku no Myakudō" in Japanese which means "Dark Pulse." The battle between the holy knight Guila continues against Meliodas, Diane and Elizabeth and finally the King is able to defeat Guila with Chastiefol. Princess Elizabeth praises the King as he was able to defeat Guila single-handedly which the trio could not do.
The King mentions that if they had their ''Sacred Treasures,'' they would have easily defeated Guila. All of them start in the search of the ''Sacred Treasures'' and reach the city of Byzel where the annual fighting festival is about to commence. The giants are banned from the festival which increases the chances of Meliodas, Ban, and King to become the winner of the competition and win the prize which is Gideon, Diane's ''Sacred Treasure.''
In the meantime, Ban and Elaine unite in the Capital of the Dead, and say good bye to Ellen and Luigi. They were in a spell, and were living the lives of ghosts all this while. The holy knights Jericho and Twigo were offered to drink Demon's Blood and were warned that if their bodies are not compatible, then they will die. Under the guise of summons from Hendrickson, the duo drink the demon's blood and Jericho survives as he was compatible. Twigo was not found compatible and embraces death.
So as per the latest update on Crunchyroll, this four episode OVA might have a different story line from season 1, and there is a possibility of a full-fledged season 2, the viewers are waiting for more news from the makers. Watch this episode from season 1 to refresh your memory.
