Before "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2 returns on Aug. 21, Sunday, the series showrunner  Dave Erickson teased about Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) new addiction, which he refers as "extreme belief system." The new season will also reveal Nick's close relations with death.

In an interview with TVLine, Erickron said that Nick's new fixation seemed like his new addiction after heroin. The co-creator teased that it is focused on a "belief system" that he will find in the la colonia. He also explained Nick's close relation with death as the latter's way to reconnect with his father, which will be explored more in "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2B.

The showrunner explained that Nick's inclination in mingling with the dead has some link with his addictive behavior. He compared it to the adrenaline rush felt by addicts. "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2B will also touch on Nick's relationship with Luciana (Danay Garcia) as they both almost have the same fate of losing their family.

"[Nick] is trying to get to a safe place, or where there might be more people who empathize with the dead, or at least don't just go around killing them," Frank Dillane told Yahoo! During an earlier interview.

Season 2A of the "Walking Dead" spinoff saw the group of survivors entering into the Mexican paradise. However, their disbelief that their loved ones should be kept alive, forced them to leave the place. In Season 2B, viewers are going to witness how Madison Clark's (Kim Dickens) family will be torn apart, according to The Guardian.

"Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2B will also see Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis) on a mission to search for his son Chris Manawa (Lorenzo James Henrie). Ofelia Salazar (Mercedes Masohn) will think of ending her life after losing both of her parents.

AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead" will return with another eight episodes. It will kick off with the episode "Grotesque," which clearly describes how gruesome the next season will be.  Viewers could expect more deaths as more and more people will be infected.
