After about three years of flirting on Twitter, actor Zac Efron and Rio 2016 Olympics’ most bemedalled female gymnast Simone Biles met personally.
People reported that on Tuesday, after Biles won a fourth gold medal in Brazil in the gymnastics floor final, the actor was there. And at 19, like any teenage girl who meets her celebrity crush, Biles could hardly contain herself when Efren leaned and kissed her.
Biles lost no time in posting on Instagram of their photos together. The bemedalled gymnast’s caption on the Instagram photos read: “he kissed me on the cheek just letting y’all know.” The post has become viral with close to 200,000 likes and almost 60,000 shares.
Efron had some help from “Today” host Hoda Kotb in their meeting. Fans of the two would have an opportunity to see their first personal encounter during the Wednesday morning broadcast of the show.
The two and the teammates of Biles are going out for a pizza. Aly Raisman, a gymnast, told Bob Costas or NBC that the actor plans to learn some gymnastic skills from the team such as a backflip.
It is not just with Efron that Biles had a photo opportunity this week. She also had some sweet moments with another Rio Olympics medalist, Brazilian athlete Arthur Nory whom she refer to as her “Brazilian boyfriend,” reported USA Today.
