The best rappers Drake and Eminem shared the same stage on the former's Detroit gig on Aug. 16, Tuesday, that sent chills to their fans, live audience or not. While Drake is among the title holders as the current best rapper, Eminem is also one of the best rappers of all time.

The Detroit native's ability to articulate verse after verse, fire after fire while telling stories in an undisputed skill to rhyme and diss the world has been unmatched for many years. He can simply connect with his audience and their angst about life with much ease.

Most recently, Drake brought Eminem on stage and having them together for their followers was simply legendary. The act also shut down the rumors that they were having a rift.

Hot 97's DJ Ebro Darden reportedly revealed to Drake a rumor that Eminem will drop a diss track on him. The Canadian rapper was said not to believe Eminem can do such, and if he does, he (Drake) has something for him too.

Having great rapper on Drake's "Summer Sixteen" tour and Eminem accepting it showed the music artists need not battle it out because talented people like them can praise other talents. It put an end to their rumored beef, E! News reported.

At Detroit's Joe Louis Arena, it was an explosive moment for the already excited crowd when Drake talked about a "hometown hero" who rose from the crowd toward the end of the 2.5-hour show. Screams drowned Eminem's rapid rhyming as the rapper in hoodie paced the stage.

Drake hinted earlier during the event that a special night was at stake. He told the crowd it could be a Detroit night to remember, Detroit Free Press reported.

Detroit was Drake's latest for his "Summer Sixteen Tour" with American hip hop recording artist, Future. Drake's rumored rift with Eminem that was fuelled by Darden had fans thinking there will be a freestyle battle between the two. Instead, they exchanged compliments on the stage.

During the show, the two music icons gave each other respect. Drake introduced the rapper to the audience.

"Make some noise for the greatest rapper to ever get on a motherf--king microphone," the Canadian singer told the crowd. "He goes by the name of Eminem-legendary s--t tonight."

The "Shady" singer was equally complimentary. He expressed his gratitude to be sharing the stage with Drake and encouraged the crowd to make the Canadian recording artist feel the love.
