Naruto Shippuden Episode 472 - Trying to free Sasuke from Kaguya's trap, Obito found himself with no choice but to pay the ultimate price. The Uchiha shinobi, who happened to be the man behind the deaths of thousands of innocent lives, comes down to a decision of sacrificing his life for the greater good of the ninja world.
Previously on Naruto Shippuden:
-Appearing before the four Hokages, Hogoromo explains the current situation Kakashi, Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto are facing. He also told them about a certain jutsu that he can no longer execute since he already transferred all his power to Sasuke and Naruto - the reincarnations of his sons Indra and Ashura
-After exhausting most of his chakra to locate Sasuke, Obito once again had a flashback of Rin, his rivalry with Kakashi and his goal of becoming a Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. He finally found Sasuke and managed to transport him back to the battlefield.
-Unfortunately for Obito, he had to use himself as a shield when Kaguya launched her bones towards Sasuke and Naruto. Kakashi also attempted to block Kaguya's bone spike but Obito used his kamui to send it into another dimension.
Naruto Shippuden episode 472 & 473:
-As his body starting to disintegrate after being struck by Kaguya's bone, Obito reminisces the time he had with Kakashi and Rin, and the mistakes he made in the past. At last, despite facing his inevitable death, Obito is at peace.
-But before his last breath, Obito had a parting gift for his friend. He will temporarily lend Kakashi the pair of his Mangekyo Sharingan in order to accomplish the task at hand. Kakashi, now the bearer of the Sharingan eyes, activates Obito's Susanoo.
