Ubisoft has officially announced the official Eagle Flight, Werewolves Within and Star Trek: Bridge Crew VR games release date for all three platforms including the PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift.
Virtual reality games have started to take off but there are not many big shot titles yet. Star Trek: Bridge Crew could be the next big thing thanks to the ever popular sci-fi TV and film franchise.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew was first unveiled at the E3 2016 conference of Ubisoft several weeks ago. The developer is now unveiling the release date for the upcoming VR game.
Ubisoft announced that Star Trek: Bridge Crew will be launched on all the three VR platforms including the HTC Vive and PlayStation VR on November 29, Gamespresso has learned. Players will be able to control one of the many Star Trek starships for the Federation and command a crew in order to survive and conquer the depths of space.
Another highly anticipated VR game from Ubisoft is Eagle Flight which, as the name suggests, allows players to see in the eyes of a soaring Eagle. The game takes place in Paris as players can freely fly around the virtual city to take in sceneries but without the presence of humans.
Eagle Flight will be released by Ubisoft at a later date on December 20 for the PlayStation VR and the HTC Vive but the Oculus Rift version will be launched ahead of time on October 18, Digital Trends reported.
The flight simulator is actually a multiplayer VR game as players will compete in dogfights and racing to clear out objectives across the city. Eagle Flight shows what could happen if the city was reclaimed by nature from the abusive humans.
Werewolves Within is another VR title from Ubisoft that can also be played with friends. The objective of the game is for players to cooperatively single out which of the other players are actually a werewolf, which rotates randomly each round of the game.
Ubisoft will release Werewolves Within on December 6 for the PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive. Pricing for all three games are not yet disclosed including Star Trek: Bridge Crew and Eagle Flight.
