'Below' release date moved back again, Capy Games 'goes dark' to prevent further frustration

Xbox One exclusive "Below" has been indefinitely delayed as announced by Indie developer Capy Games who wants to ensure that the title will meet expectations when they finally release the game.

Below was supposed to be released by the end of the summer but it would seem the developers failed to complete the game yet. The delay is understandable for most people considering that they are not a big shot development studio like Ubisoft, who has a track problem with their faulty releases in the past.

Capy Games announced that they wanted to make the game high quality and to live up to their standards, Digital Trends has learned. No Below release date has been announced as the developers say that they will make the game with full efforts without any constant updates.

The Xbox One exclusive is a top-down adventure platformer where players can explore the generated game world similar to the likes of Minecraft. One interesting challenge is that players will only have one life throughout the whole game which makes every move and decision critical to the gameplay.

With no release date to wait for, there will be no future "delays" and the developers did promise that the final launch date will be given the next time they announce an update.

For some, the game's development already took forever, Below was unveiled in E3 2013 but the lack of a large studio manpower led to the game's long process. It was even anticipated to be launched before 2016 but another delay moved the release date for this year.

Quality games do take a while to be developed and the many day-one patches prove that most developers just rush the development of a game to make more money off of the hype. There are even some games with incomplete stories due to the fact that players will be forced to buy DLC to milk a title.

Below has no release date as of this writing. Capy Games will be announcing the final launch date in their next announcement as they go dark to finish the game.
