Pegg said that for those who have never seen a "Star Trek" film, they can start with this movie. It will introduce them to the character and give the taste of what it is all about, CRIEnglish.com reported.

"If you have seen 'Star Trek' before then there are benefits there also," Pegg told the audience. "But if you're new to 'Star Trek,' come and join the party, because it's a cracking one."

Director Lin who took the reins from J.J. Abrams to direct the rebooted franchise' third film, shared he talked to several people in China prior to making the movie. Interestingly, he asked them what kind of movies they want to see. He believes their new film is tailor-made for China whose people work so hard and go to the movies to escape, enjoy, have fun and laugh.

The new film has Quinto and Pine reprising their roles Commander Spock and Captain Kirk. The former admitted during the Beijing press conference that he was affected by his portrayal of the legendary character by the death of the original Spock, Leonard Nimoy in 2015.

"I don't think I feel like extra pressure," Quinto addressed the audience. "I feel a little bit more of a sense of the responsibility of honoring Leonard (Nimoy) and his legacy and the legacy of the character that he created."

Lin's "Star Trek Beyond" was released in July. It will be in China theaters on Sept. 2

Director Lin and his team who went to China for the promotion also visited the country's tourist spot, The Great Wall of China a day prior to the press tour. Check them out enjoying the visit below.
